my name is jaclyn,
I'm a part-time blogger and a full-time foodie.
I began this blog as a way to share recipes, tips, and experiences throughout my journey to master my own kitchen. My food philosophy is simply that one should enjoy what one eats.
I find that there's something really remarkable about eating something you created with your very own talents. It's not a taste or sensation that can be bought with some spare change on the way to work or school. I am always looking to try new recipes and will never tire of eating homemade food. I will, on occasion, indulge in fast food, though, and dining out at restaurants is one of my favourite ways to spend a meal.
I mainly keep to baking cakes, cookies, pies, bars, and cupcakes; my not-very-expansive homecooked menu includes American classics - (I have a second stomach for pasta!) - and Asian cuisine.
I'm not vegan and not vegetarian. I can eat gluten and dairy and most of my recipes contain one of the either or both; many, if not all, of the main dishes or appetizers will contain meat. However, with appetizers I normally try to conceive some ideas or alternatives for vegetarians, since my youngest cousins aren't too fond of meat.
First and foremost I'm a student. My aim is to become a dentist and my dream is to write and publish a novel series. When I'm not experimenting in the kitchen, I'm scrambling to finish schoolwork I've accumulated through reckless procrastinating or creatively writing for my own enjoyment.
If you intend to try my recipes, I'd love to be credited at your own blog or website.
If you have any stories, tips, modifications or comments for me, I'd love to hear them!
You can find me elsewhere at foodgawker and instagram.
